Jaguar Wright/Denials, Delusions and Decisions (Slept On Soul)

In the early 2000s, Philly singer Jaguar Wright was recording and touring with The Roots and Jay-Z as well as performing weekly at the Five Spot in Philly and working on her debut project Denials, Delusions and Decisions. Although the album was dope, it didn't connect with the audience as much as expected. This piece is a look back on Jag, the Black Lily scene and the soul music coming out of Philly at that time.

I almost forgot all about her until she started making her recent media rants.

Jaguar Wright bless her heart is fearless... was fearless as a singer and now even more fearless while exposing some really powerful and often diabolical people...unfortunately, this will not end well... too many other Black (and even white) entertainers have ended up suddenly dead after employing similar whistleblowing tactics against the socalled Entertainment Industry... mysteriously falling out of windows, mysterious car crashes, murders by hookers, unexplainable overdoses and syncronized drownings...im praying for this beautiful, fearless and talented sister..

I am not surprised there are some disgruntled musicians as the industry collapsed, effectively "firing" talent. Lots of a certain generation were never signed unless they were already 1990s Disney child stars or trained as such (Bruno Mars).

I watched one of her recent interviews last night. Boy, she dispises Mary J. Blige! Mary better be scared! lol She has been putting everybody's business out in the street.

thoses Mary J Blige stories are pretty much common lnowledge in New York...and Jag is Wright, Mary J Blige was NEVER a great singer.... she was barely better than T-Boz...but she had that same commercial street appeal in her delivery, look and persona, that was marketed perfectly for that era

Puff's ex bodyguard Gene Deal, corroborates Jaguars's stories ...especially the ones about Mary J...because he was Mary's limo driver while she was with Puff

Many of the things Jaquar is speaking out on now (especially about Puffy) were topics that were spoken about 15, even 20 years ago. Wendy Williams hinted about a lot of this stuff on her radio show back then.

Puff is definitely a fuck boy. Great businessman but definitely a slimeball.
Mary J has always been overrated imo damn did Jaguar have to drag her like that with the lesbian accusations?

Christopher Williams responded online and he really didn't confirm (or deny) the allegation. Al B. Sure's video that he posted about Kim Porter was interesting...he quickly took it down but other media sites still have it up. I think in the next year, a lot of stuff is going to come to surface.
