Wasn't Billy Ray behind the Hannah Montana TV show? If so, then he probably made way more money off that than with Achy Breaky. New Music: Lil Nas X Releases Debut 7 EP
Country/trap rapper Lil Nas X dropped his long-awaited debut 7 EP, featuring fan favorites "Old Town Road" (Billy Ray Cyrus remix), "Panini" and "Rodeo" featuring Cardi B.
The 20-year-old continues his domination atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Old Town Road" is still No. 1 for 11 weeks in a row, making it the second-longest running debut single on the chart behind Los Del Rio's "Macarena."
The 7 EP features six new songs including "Panini" and "Rodeo" ft. Cardi B (listen to the audio below). Both tracks were produced by Take A Daytrip, while "F9mily" was produced by Travis Barker. Boi-1da produced "Closure." The country/trap rapper is eager for a "Panini" remix collaboration with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. "Tryna get gordon ramsay on this panini remix," he tweeted. While his followers took the plea as a joke, Gordon himself responded a few hours later, tweeting: "Tell me more..." "Panini", which debuted on Thursday, June 20, features a sample from Nirvana's "In Bloom", off the alternative rock band's iconic 1991 album Nevermind.
Nas revealed Kurt Cobain's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, gave him permission to use the sample. Nas, who shares songwriting credit with Kurt Cobain on "Panini", tweeted "thank you" to the 26-year-old artist and model, whose mother is rock singer and actress Courtney Love. Kurt took his own life in 1994 at age 27. 7 EP Tracklist 1. Old Town Road (BRC Remix)

I haven't seen that part of the BET awards yet. Just keeping with the cowboy theme; apparently, he had enough for another EP.

He has come out today on Twitter, which is commendable. Kinda bad marketing strategy on the last day of Pride month he coulda made some more $ if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

Color me clueless but I like it. I've read horrible reviews but I can't fathom why. Lil Nas X is NOT a lyrical rapper to my ears.

Not really, it was a joke. I just notice when people make the same comments over & over, not just in the threads I make. I get a basic idea of who people like or don't like from their posts. Like there used to be a poster here who always made long anti-Beyoncé/Jay-Z rants. If there was a Beyoncé topic, no matter what it was about, she was there. There was another who often made bigoted/racist comments. I think both of them were banned. For 65 years straight, the #1 genre in music, selling wise, was rock n' roll worldwide. im not "paasing judgement" on him as a person...i just think his product is trash...its that simple...im not sure why that makes people feel pressed...if i feel Lil Nas X or Bruno Mars music is trash, thats my opinion...everybody doesnt like everything...and everyone is entitled to their own opinion...its really not that deep, to consider it as "passing judgement" or "hatin"...

Nelly, TLC, & Flo Rida was on Sway In The Morning recently talking about their upcoming tour. Sway mentioned that Nelly was doing what Nas X is doing years ago and his first single was Country Grammar. They were talking about Nas X's problem with the Billboard country chart and Nelly said rap didn't have that issue because Vanilla Ice & Eminem had hits on the rap chart.
