Errors on the Set I have noticed a few errors on the set. 1. Like many, I agree the live set is slow. At least parts of it...Purple Rain for sure 2. interesting, where Sheila starts the best on Its Gonna Be A Beautiful Night and Prince makes her stop as he'd only asked for horns .. 3. rebirth of the flesh- at the end..the volume suddenly rises very noticeably.... not clear why. 4. More a comment on how revealing the remaster is but on If I Was Your Girlfriend when he sings 'not that your helpless' you can hear more clearly a clink on the left speaker. A friend suggested it could have been him bumping the mic.... 6. I Could Never- his solo on this (DVD) seems to show him lose momentum on the solo...minor and he quickly makes up for it. What else?

there are string overdubs from 1987 on a version of a track which would've been scrapped in favor of another version by september 1986

Are we talking about legitimate errors in tape transferring/mastering or performance mistakes from Prince while playing/recording in this case? The first one is the only real "error" in the set from a technical POV that can be confirmed in that sense [Edited 10/4/20 14:56pm]

Ordered the set in July... won't get until end of month. Can someone tell me what it says?

It says somehow the estate underestimated preorders, let alone basic orders.

. And in 1998 during the summer he asked: 'Do you have your Crystal Ball?' . Princevault says 29 january 1998. . This set has the Crytal Ball (song) version that is missing from SOTT SDE. . . .

I'm not buying that the live show is "slow". I've matched many of the notes on my tuned guitar but happy to see if someone can prove otherwise. Sounds fine to me. I'm not sure how this would even happen unless its some kind of 50Hz vs 60hz thing but I think that would go the other way.

I still have a hard tiome imagining this is an accident. Could anyone ask Lisa? Does she interact with fans on her FB or Twitter? A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...iscog/home

Thanks for the response. When I read some say that it's explained in the liner, it didn't make sense. This was an error...an obvious one.

The book states "Train" was recorded heavily with the D50 but that synth didn't come out until a year later. Think he meant to say the DX7 which is where the Train sounds come from.

I have the digital files WB provides for everyone who bought the physical sets. Redeem the code and you get MP3s and Visions is not clipped. Visions is also no longer clipped on Spotify.
