So many things passed through my mind, At the end I was left with yeah okay i really don't care. But I am getting a little concerned with the SSDD mess, people spending massive amounts of time forcing people what to think, its the exact same behavior just the shoe is on the other foot. There are so many other thing that need human attention and solving. A symbol on a box seems mundane, how does that oppress you and prevent you from living your life? It damned sure isn't slave aunt jemima on a box or house boy uncle ben. How does the venus symbol equate to oppression?

It doesn't, these are just people looking for something to bitch about since they likely don't have much going on in their lives. And of course, corporations comply because they don't want the drama.

I feel bad for trans folks (the ones that aren't doing it for attention) but regardless of their own self actualization, their outside appearance and attitudes might change, but their chromosomal biology won't and making labelling a product made for women with a female symbol being made controversial is really stupid and petty.

Its called exerting one's privilege. I guess women proud to be women have to tone that down because its bothering others.

lol lol lol Imagine someone choosing to live as a woman telling actual women their periods are a "privilege." I'd love to be a fly on the wall for THAT conversation! lol

As a proud woman, I can think of plenty of ways to be proud of my gender. A symbol on a box of sanitary towels is not particularly high on my list of ways to flaunt the many positive qualities that women have.

but when you have trans-Women/girls competing in Womens sports with the physicality of men still... gotta start thinking now.

.

The complaint that created this issue, should maybe prompt someone to make products for Trans women instead of going to womens products and complaining about them.

Trans men, not trans women, as near as i can tell.

But, to your point, theyre not asking for a special product for trans men, theyre simply asking for inclusivity on an existing product.

Also, side shout out to onlyforaminute, who absolutely gets it

I don't think it is that 'simple'. and just like what onlyforaminute said: if this minute thing is sooo much of an issue with just using a necessary product then what bigger things marketed towards women are in the crosshairs. Trust it doesn't stop at mundane (please note: non-opressive) symbols on a cardboard box.

.

I'm still saying, there is a market obviously now for trans-women/men.

1. fly on the wall: a pasted Org member FlyOntheWall who obsessed over certain women in Prince's life

2. fly on the wall

If you say that you would like to be a fly on the wall on an occasion, you mean that you would like to hear what will be said or see what will happen while not being noticed:

there isnt a market for sanitary pads for trans women, only trans men. this need existed for as long as trans men have, it isnt a "now" situation.

but again, theyre not asking for a new exclusive product; there is no need nor request for it. what they are asking is for a tiny bit of inclusivity on the packaging, and the company agreed.

it really isnt a big deal.
