Anyone else watching Ava DuVernay's The Red Line?

I'm posting this here because of the subject matter but maybe it belongs in GD, idk. Anyway, it's about a bad police shooting in Chicago. It's been done in 3 - 2 hour installments ending tonight.

DuVernay is an amazing force right now with her hands on many projects, including a Prince documentary. This is on network TV. I'm hooked.

Ava Marie DuVernay (/ˌdjuːvɛərˈneɪ/; born August 24, 1972) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, film marketer, and film distributor. DuVernay won the directing award in the U.S. dramatic competition at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival for her second feature film Middle of Nowhere,[1] becoming the first black woman to win the award.[2] For her work on Selma (2014), DuVernay was the first black female director to be nominated for a Golden Globe Award.[3][4] With Selma, she was also the first black female director to have her film nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. In 2017, she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for her film 13th (2016). wiki

Is it on PBS? Or a streaming service.
The abortion ban issue...any relation to 2045 or pre-1848?

She also has a movie out 5/31/19 on Netflix, titled ‘When They See Us’ about the Central Park Five.

I keep seeing ads for that - looks really good.

Yes, I've also seen ads. She is knocking off some great topics. The Red Line series was good. Very ambitious for a primetime network drama. I'm not always a fan of that format, but she brought a lot of detail to the story for as much as it tried to cover.

She was on Prince's radar too, the stamp of mega-creative royalty.
