the publisher vs utility argument bored

the argument or rather the distinction is more of a academic distraction and a means to deflect than an argument based on an merit in terms of what a given platform allows.

People who say that Facebook is violating their rights are not necessarily confused just simply using the term in a more informal manner.

And some miss that people have the right to speak out against it when it happens.

The fact of the matter is that the fat fuck Alex Jones and his chickenshit friends have been banned from Facebook; Instagram; Twitter; and I forget how many other platforms - including payment platforms.

That band of losers has filed - and I'm going from memory here, because who really cares about that fat fuck Alex Jones and his chickenshit friends? - exactly ONE lawsuit, which that fat fuck Alex Jones later dropped. I think that's right but if someone cares enough about that fat fuck Alex Jones and his chickenshit friends to look it up, feel free to do so.

All this gets down to whether or not that fat fuck Alex Jones and his chickenshit friends can sue the multiple platforms that have banned their batshit crazy asses. The fact that that band of losers isn't suing anyone sure casts a curious light on the incessant defenses put up by djThunderfunk.

And you still have never once shown any indication that you even UNDERSTAND the publisher vs utility argument, much less taken a stance on the issue. Like every time I've brought the subject up, you deflect and attack and avoid. This suggests that you either aren't smart enough to understand it and speak on it, or, are avoiding it because you can't make a cohesive argument on the issue. Or, maybe you're avoiding it because all you really care about it is winning the culture war, consequences and values be damned.

Prove me wrong. Make the case for the platforms to be classified as a publisher with all the rights and responsiblities that entails, or, make the case for them to be classified as a utility with all the rights and responsibities that would entail. Hell, make the case that they should continue to be allowed the rights of both and the responsibilities of neither. It would be a ludicrous stance to take, but at least it would show that you're able to comprehend the arguments.

why must you body shame people? And for that matter why be so judgmental? You claim to be a person of faith? (By faith you attend that non-church with that charlatan Joel Osteen (who needs to be educated as to what using the lord's name in vain means) yet you seem to judge people for their moral failures)

See I can not stand jones... but I have never heard of him saying anything hateful. him questioning the facts of sandy hook is pretty bad but not hate... and not nearly as bad as those who say 9/11 was fake or an inside job--yet I have not heard of any of them being raked over the coals for that.

When it comes to a privately-owned corporation's actions vis. a. vie its members, sure - that's how it works.

djThunderfunk's incessant whining about Facebook, when he actually posted that he's not "stupid enough" to have a Facebook account, is like some old dude whining about the music played on on the alt-rock channel, but he never listens to the alt-rock channel.

I really can't see djThunderfunk putting this much effort into criticizing a company/defending some pieces of shit unless he's getting paid to do so. And if he's NOT getting paid, then he's missing a bet.

wrong. unless you agree that people that do not eat at Chick-Fil-A have no stake (or chicken) in how they donate money.... and thus ought not protest them.

I am not sure he can! Or he would have to admit that these bans were not for hate speech but that they were targeted politically.

he attacks Jones...but was he a subscriber to him? If not then he--by his OWN standard has NO stake to protest.

This idea that one must belog to a group to protest against that group smacks of elitism.

by his standard on woman who can get pregnant should be allowed to speak out on abortion rights... (which is no more o or less defensible than saying men can not voice their opposition to it)

How many times do I have to post gleeful updates on all the sites that have banned that fat fuck Alex Jones and his chickenshit friends, and remind you that neither that fat fuck Alex Jones nor his chickenshit friends have sued (or successfully sued) anyone, before you figure out my position?

I mean, I can appreciate good trolling but this is just is so far from good trolling that if you ARE getting paid for this, you owe someone their money back.

The difference is that what that fat fuck Alex Jones did affected the parents of children who'd been murdered, whereas Facebook et. al. held that fat fuck Alex Jones to account for what that fat fuck Alex Jones did to the parents of children who'd been murdered.

Those with a moral center will understand. Those without, won't.

I know no such thing. Nor am I all that interested in hearing it to be honest. But I will say that if he named names then the case against him is about as solid as the ones filed for Nicholas Sandmann. So did Jones actual name them as actors and publish their photos? If so I will agree that maybe there is some merit.

and if you choose to defend body shaming then I am sure you will never call anyone out on it when they do it... I know I did it once to a woman and I was called out on it and admitted to it being wrong and I have not done it since.
