Michael Jackson's Halloween To Air On CBS This Fall

Michael Jackson's Halloween To Air On CBS This Fall

DEb9fNjUIAARCue.jpg

Michael Jackson's Halloween, a new one-hour animated adventure with the King of Pop's acclaimed music as its soundtrack, is coming to CBS this Fall—and you just can't "Beat It."

The spooky special will be packed with the voice talents of CBS fan-favorites, including The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons, MacGyver's Lucas Till and George Eads, The Good Wife's Alan Cumming, The Good Fight's Christine Baranski, and Elementary's Lucy Liu.

Michael Jackson's Halloween will also feature the voice talents of Brad Garrett and Kiersey Clemons.

The animated special follows Vincent (voiced by Till) and Victoria (voiced by Clemons), who "accidentally" cross paths on Halloween night and embark on a magical adventure of personal discovery.

Along with Ichabod—an adorable pup—the duo find themselves in the mysterious This Place Hotel, aptly located at 777 Jackson Street.

The hour-long event culminates in an incredible dance finale—featuring an animated version of the King of Pop himself.

Michael Jackson's Halloween was created and produced by Optimum Productions, with animation production by Hammerhead.

John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of The Estate of Michael Jackson, serve as executive producers. Daniel Chuba is the producer and Mark A.Z. Dippé is the director.

Stay tuned to CBS.com to find out more about Michael Jackson's Halloween, airing this Fall exclusively on CBS and CBS All Access.

What an interesting project this must be to market. Is MJ enough of a pop cultural icon that kids these days actually know and dig him? Is this being positioned as an intro to a new generation? Or is this actually for their nostalgic Gen X and Y parents?

Right and we fams have it on our computers in okay - excellent quality.

Download all the shit hop that you can for your kids, neices, nephews, and their friends also. That will prevent them from going out and buying it and will prevent some shit hop sales. Every little bit helps - Andy

Yep

I've said this over and over again. There is STILL unreleased material that can be released. There's still concerts and other footage that can be released.

We've gotten Michael, Bad 25, and Xscape as well as several leaks.

John Barnes said there's still material from the 1983-1986 sessions that can be released. There's the stuff he did with James Whitney before Off The Wall was recorded. His Sly Stone covers, the material he did with Bryan Loren, Devante Swing, Warren G....

He DID actually record the James Whitney stuff? I could never find confirmation on that.

Yeah, there's still TomBoy and Buffalo Bill from the Barnes sessions. And don't forget Chicago 1945 is a finished song that's supposed to be good. The Will.I.Am songs could be released.

Maybe by the year 2050 we'll get to hear it all. Hopefully I'm still alive by then lol

My 6yo Grandaughter ditched One Direction and Bieber for MJ two years ago via Youtube all on her own. The legend goes via her mum she was searching for 'Justin' and came cross 'Love Never Felt So Good' featuring the other Justin and it just snowballed. So for a third of her life Michael has been the best thing ever.

Yeah, we'll, we'll try to imagine what silence looks like.

I'm pretty sure he did. I'm actually looking for James Whitney on Facebook lol Three songs, "Sweet Music", "Disco Kids", and "Goodness Knows".

Michael and his team (Matt Forger, Bill Bottrell, John Barnes, David Williams and others) recorded a lot of material between 1983-1986, before they even took any material to Westlake in late '86. During that period, he worked on music at Hayvenhurst, Caribou Ranch, and other places

I've talked to John Barnes a few times in a group I started on Facebook. Really nice guy smile

.
But both really suggest J5 (not a bad thing per se but different from solo MJ). Are the other family involved in this project? Are we gonna hear Christine Baranski singing Ben or Is It Scary? lol

I forgot about What You Do To Me. That was with Barnes as well. Make or Break is another, but think that's just a rough demo.

Kind of surprised Buffalo Bill has never been released. I wonder why.

If I remember correctly, Barnes said Buffalo Bill, Make or Break and a few others are practically complete.

The In The Studio with MJ seminar had him, Brad Buxer, Michael Prince, and a few others all as guests together and they all apparently said the estate hasn't contacted them to help them on projects, which I think isn't smart

Buffalo Bill has to be complete. It could've been on Victory, but for whatever reason, he held it back. It was worked on for BAD as well. I thought Barnes said Make or Break didn't have much vocals on it.

Also, maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think John Barnes was ever at one of those seminars with Brad. I even mentioned Barnes to Brad a couple years ago and Brad didn't sound like he's seen Barnes for a while. Matt Forger has been at the seminars and would be the best person to talk to. I've just never caught him yet.

Most of those songs have leaked and let's just say...they're of "dubious origin" lol

Many fans don't believe they're really Michael.
