So... 3 years, eh?

All I can say is, I hope we've all at least STARTED the process of Healing....

I miss Prince everyday. Still having a hard time coming to terms with his death. He was one of a kind and such a talented man. Thankfully we have so much amazing music and hopefully more to come.

WAY BACK HOME
Any person or object whatsoever
That requires your attention
Is something that has veered from its path
And preordained destiny of total enlightenment
I never wanted a typical life
Scripted role, huh a trophy wife
All I ever wanted, to be left alone
See my bed's made up at night
'Cause in my dreams I roam
Just trying to find, trying to find
My way back, back home
So many reasons why
There's so many reasons why
I don't belong here
But now that I am I
Without fear I am
Gonna conquer with no fear
Until I find my way back home
Until I find my way back home
(Find my way back home)
Most people in this world (Most people in this world)are born dead
But I was born alive
(I was born with this dream)
With a dream outside my head (outside my head)
That I could find my way back home
My, my, way way back home
Is this the way? (Is this the way?)
Power to the ones who could raise a child like me
The path was set
But if you look the truth will set us free
I've heard about those happy endings
But it's still a mystery
Lemme tell you about me
I'm happiest when I can see
My way back home
Can you see
My way back, my way back home

God gave Prince(r.i.p) a golden ticket to salvation in the form of Moline, and he turned it down.

So Prince, whom fought 4 his first record deal & got it, fought 4 a movie deal & got it, fought 4 freedom from his WB contract & got it, fought 4 his masters & got them.Gets a curable illness & says 2 himself ok, I'm done. "Life is a Box Of Chocolates"

Prince is sorely missed. I find myself listening to his music now more than ever especially his early work. His absense makes you realize more and more that there will never be anyone to come close to his vision, craftsmanship, and work ethic.

Especially on this day I feel the sadness of it all. But at the same time I feel blessed that I experienced so much joy, excitement, funk, genius while he was alive. I will keep playing, enjoying, loving his work.

And it's great to see his memory is so very alive with all the parties going on all over the world. Let's celebrate his greatness as long as we can!

I miss him immensely but with time it has become easier to listen to the music he has left behind for us to enjoy. I have also been listening to his music more lately than I have been in the past few months. I will always, always miss him but I thank the Powers That Be that I was alive at the same time he lived to enjoy and experience his beautiful music.

He left us with his children: HIS MUSIC.
What a legacy.

There is no time limited when it comes to stop grieving. The pain would always carries but we managed to move on like Prince would want for us to do.

Three years but still I miss Prince. There was no artist like him. No shady little boy stories, Prince was clean and authentic. Always himself, at least what he showed to the public. Now it’s just the music and lyrics to reminisce. https://youtu.be/kj4JMd226ZA

After Sri Lanka today though and Trump, Prince would have been like ... WTF! “Only heaven knows”

Miss you Prince!!

The light that burned a 1000 times as bright burned 2/3rds as long. Not too bad at all. But yeah, it still hurts, and still seems unreal.

It is Easter, you know.

My First Prince concert was Easter Sunday 1985.

Not sure why I felt I needed to tell anyone.

Cause tomorrow is taking too long
and yesterday's too far away
and the reality that you believe in begins to bind.

This is the actual scripture line from the service read at Easter Mass this morning.

I'm sure that most of us are better. But every now and then, I'm looking at a video or hear a song and sitll can't believe it. Aside from me thinking he was too thin, I never knew that he was in so much physical pain and possibly emotional as well. Prince still looked so youthful and ready to continue to give us his all! I saw a video someone posted on youtube today and it made me cry like it was the first day. out of all the celebrity deaths I took to heart, his hit me the hardest. I miss him so much. It feels like I lost a family member, I don't think I'll ever fully heal. My heart is a little broken and nobody can fix that.

Well it's not like I have a choice in it. That's pretty much my state of mind. This feeling is never going to fully go away, I've accepted that.

Aww Penny, don't do that. You gonna make me cry for about the 3rd time today. Yeah, it's been a rough one. (Amen). Just seems so much worse than the 1st or 2nd one, and I can't really say why. We will see him again......I am just not a good wait-er. I bet he really jazzed up the choir section up there!

We are all feeling just about the same today probably. Just this side of of a complete crying fest, feeling guilty because for goodness sake it is Easter, and really wishing the day was already over!

I am going to try to absorb some more music this evening and try to get to a better place.

Peace and Love to you, and together we will get through this.
