The Voice of Alexandria published the following article entitled "U of M to Award 'Prince' Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters Degree":

"U of M President Eric Kaler (KAY'-lur) and Regent Darrin Rosha will present the degree to Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, Wednesday September 26th. The program will pay tribute to Prince with performances by students from the U of M School of Music and special guests Kirk Johnson, Jellybean Johnson, St. Paul Peterson, Cameron Kinghorn, and a surprise guest."
