Bowie died from cancer, while Prince died from an accidental overdose of the opioid Fentanyl. That's the big difference between what happened. One was inevitable, the other preventable.

David Bowie was also rumored to have AIDS. One woman even sued him in the late 1980s saying that he had infected her with the HIV virus.

Well what was the outcome because he married Iman and had a daughter much later in life.

The means of death might have been preventable, but that does not mean that an untimely death was not inevitable by another cause. He died of an accidental overdose, and by many accounts, he was taking pills to manage pain. The reason for the pain is still not fully known, nor may it ever be known. The original question was why would he have purchased a new guitar or piano or set more concert dates if he knew he was dying? Bowie still had plans even though he knew he was dying. Prince may have known his end was nigh, but because music was his life, he planned on going on until the end.

Laura, if you're saying the medical examiner, Dr. A. Quinn Strobl, said something publicly about mislabeled pills, I'm afraid you're mistaken. The only public statement attributed to Strobl is the autopsy summary, which merely states that Prince's death was caused by accidental, self-administered fentanyl overdose. No mention of pills and no mention of a homicide investigation in it either.

Are you going to make me go back and bring up the press release from the Carver County Sheriff department stating this is a active and open homicide case? Are you going to make me go back and find the info from the so valued associated press about the test that Prince took the day before that contained no Fentenyl in his system. Are we really going to keep digging up the same old info because you believe he was a life time user of Fentenyl when ther is no evidence of such a thing and it should be obvious that ME and police are bashing their case on his medical test and any conversation they had with Dr. S who was treating him for something. I am not going to argue with you because this is all known. Let me hip you to something you do not know rigth now Prince's cousin is pushing a JusticeForPrince## hashtag because his own family member thinks something foul is going on. This foolishness with that book is a destraction from what is really important and the lack of attention or interest speaks volumes about the people who come to this board these days.

Sorry, I can't follow what you're ranting about ("you think he's a lifetime user of fentanyl"? Huh? Where'd I say that -- here or anywhere (that's rhetorical. I didn't say that here or anywhere.))

-

You just made an incorrect statement that the information about misidentified pills came from the medical examiner (rather than, as Kara correctly cited, from the AP's unnamed sources, which you have condemned as irrelevant; I myself don't find unnamed sources, if cited in reputable outlets, irrelevant, but you've been very clear you do). I simply corrected it because I think facts are a good thing.

-

That's all! You sound like you're pretty angry right now so I hope you can have a peaceful evening!

No I got this confused with a tab that is called the the story or some such nonsense. I will dig up the post I put up six months ago since you have a extended case of amnesia. No fentenyl was found in Prince system from the day before. All that was ingested after that test. You realize the police have his medical files? You realize the pills were mislabled? You realize they are basing their case off of that information. You also realize a year later there has been on epidimic of people dying in the Minneapolis area from mislabled pills? Put your head together man. I mean can someone think on this board because this day has been an eye opener of insane crap.

The info about the test came from an anonymous source, which is why I'm confused, because you advised us earlier not to trust unnamed sources.

Thanks for this Purple! This article definitely uses the word "homicide" in the court. This story doesn't make it totally clear who filed the court order; I guess we'll all learn more on April 17 (unless a criminal case is opened before then)

IMPORTANT:
Fentanyl only stays in the system for "up to three days".

. Thus, it's possible that the airplane incident was caused by the counterfeits and that would not have been detected six days later when tests were run.

Only if they did blood draws in Moline and tested those, would anyone know for sure.

That statement originally came out when so many people were saying he was a fentanyl addict.

Tyka attended two memorial services AFTER the JW service.

Yeah also what is interesting is none of Prince's associates (I know Sheila E held his hand at the memorial a couple days after his death) or Prince's family mention him or even invited him to play all of the celebrations. The dude had been part of Prince's life until his death for nearly 20 years. I am not taking up Larry G and I think he has bad bass skills but there are some of the things I heard of him that make me think low of him. I am sure maybe privately there are some shunning going on that the fans are unaware.

But then I haven't kept up with all the narratives about Prince coming from his camp members.

Yes, they edited some interesting things, including her marrriage. Didn't know about that either.
I am amazed how strong she is. Still guided by Prince and on a mission!
Loved it when she thanked Roland at the end for being gentle with her heart.

I love 'Reflections'. I think it is such a beautiful song. I think about it a lot especially when I am with my mom who is now in the mid to later stages of dementia. How valuable memories are in relationships. This line however - the one you quote - really sticks out. This is definitely a belief of JWs that when you die, you will be resurrected and all of your pain and suffering will be gone. You will have a new body.
