The way  I see it, when you go to a Prince concert there are three sides of Prince you will get:  the animated, funny, laid-back guy; the serious, I'm -gonna- kick -yo -ass Prince, and the disinterested, going-through-the-numbers Prince.

Of the first two, which 'Prince' do you prefer to see?

Dont care what side I get, just glad to be there witnessing a living legend.

animated laid-back guy... when he is having a good tyme the music comes out better... when he is smiling, it seems he loves to be at that place at that tyme and its funner to watch.. just a better atmosphere to be in

To me ,it's about sharing.If he's not enjoying himself, I can't get any pleasure.

Having been to 100's of concerts.......this a applicable 2 most artist.

That said..............I'll take Prince in any form.

Graycap is right. I've had some good experiences when an artist is clearly in a bad mood. Oftentimes it can take the performance to a whole other level. Nothing feels worse to me than seeing an artist go through the motions and look like they'd rather be anywhere else.
