Suppose you were in a melancholy mood and wanted to listen to a collection of sad P songs, what would your list look like? And I'm talking 'real sad', not 'oh no, purple & gold! sad'

Here's what I've come up with so far...

Avalanche is one of his most beautifully sad songs in my opinion. Especially the second part of the song,

How Come You Dont Call Me Anymore doesnt make me sad, its a good song. But its kinda of a generic sadness, like u know your supposed to be sad. However Old Friends 4 Sale will have my face wet with tears.

Even by looking at the cover art you could tell it'd be sh--, and that's saying something in P's case. I liked 'The One' & 'Wasted Kisses', though. Yeah, I'm sentimental like that

my ex used to joke with me about this.  poor poor Prince all those sad songs while he bangs model and makes millions.   WAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!  Some of his best songs.

... though Prince usually isn't who I listen to when I'm depressed, if I had to, those are some of the songs I'd pick.

Also, though neiter album is sad, I listen to One Nite Alone... and Xpectation a lot when I'm upset.. the songs aren't really sad, though. But for me, they fit the mood.

^ I agree with all of your picks. I was going to list the first two, but I never really loved "Curious Child", and I wasn't really sure if "A Case Of U" classified as a 'sad' song, though I usually listen to it when I'm in a bad mood.
