Amazns’s Jeff Bezos accuses Trump buddy National Enquirer of blackmail Well, this is as dramatic as it gets. Trump and the national Enquirer have had a sleazy eye-raising quid-pro-quo politically relationship. I mean Trump has been known to pay the National Enquirer to hide damaging stories about him while highlighting positive ones. And trump has had an axe to grind against Bezos for quite some time, even calling out Amazon.com. Let’s see where this goes, but it doesn’t look good. The National Enquirer wants Bezos to publicly state that there is not political spect involved in their reporting or they will release nude pictures of Bezos. So blackmail sounds a little over the top. President Trump is a disgusting piece of shit.

Jeff Bezos' team thinks it's possible that the text leaks were politically motivated and that a "government entity" accessed the Bezos texts. NEW: Source: Ahead of deadline, the Trump admin is expected to "double down on defending" the Saudi crown prince, and repeat that there is "no smoking gun" linking him directly to the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. 11:33 PM - 7 Feb 2019
The above is chilling when you consider that Khashoggi worked for The Washington Post, which is owned by none other than Jeff Bezos. [Edited 2/7/19 22:30pm]

Dadgum it, I had a slew of headlines ready for this thread! No thank you, Mr. PeckerSomething unusual happened to me yesterday. Actually, for me it wasn’t just unusual — it was a first. I was made an offer I couldn’t refuse. Or at least that’s what the top people at the National Enquirer thought. I’m glad they thought that, because it emboldened them to put it all in writing. Rather than capitulate to extortion and blackmail, I’ve decided to publish exactly what they sent me, despite the personal cost and embarrassment they threaten. AMI, the owner of the National Enquirer, led by David Pecker, recently entered into an immunity deal with the Department of Justice related to their role in the so-called “Catch and Kill” process on behalf of President Trump and his election campaign. Mr. Pecker and his company have also been investigated for various actions they’ve taken on behalf of the Saudi Government. And sometimes Mr. Pecker mixes it all together: “After Mr. Trump became president, he rewarded Mr. Pecker’s loyalty with a White House dinner to which the media executive brought a guest with important ties to the royals in Saudi Arabia. At the time, Mr. Pecker was pursuing business there while also hunting for financing for acquisitions…” P&R's paladin

Huff Post Federal prosecutors in New York are investigating National Enquirer publisher American Media Inc. for its handling of a story about Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos that may have violated an earlier cooperation deal, according to multiple reports. In a shocking blog post published Thursday evening, the billionaire Amazon founder accused AMI CEO David Pecker of attempting to blackmail him with “intimate” pictures. The publisher allegedly aimed to convince Bezos to kill the Post’s investigations into AMI and its business dealings, or risk seeing his personal photos published for the world to see. “Rather than capitulate to extortion and blackmail, I’ve decided to publish exactly what they sent me, despite the personal cost and embarrassment they threaten,” Bezos explained. Federal prosecutors had granted Pecker immunity in their investigation into payments made prior to the 2016 presidential election by former Donald Trump fixer Michael Cohen. I believe the point is that it was not gathered legitimately and the info was being used to extort Bezos but he did not succumb - he is instead turning the tables on them. Poor Jeff Bezos doesn't like being a victim of the surveillance state? Cry me a river. That’s because Amazon, the company that has made Bezos the planet’s richest human being, is a critical partner for the U.S. Government in building an ever-more invasive, militarized and sprawling surveillance state. Indeed, one of the largest components of Amazon’s business, and thus one of the most important sources of Bezos’ vast wealth and power, is working with the Pentagon and the NSA to empower the U.S. Government with more potent and more sophisticated weapons, including surveillance weapons." NYTimes Feb. 7, 2019 The conversation, intercepted by American intelligence agencies, is the most detailed evidence to date that the crown prince considered killing Mr. Khashoggi long before a team of Saudi operatives strangled him inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul and dismembered his body using a bone saw.

I'm leaning towards Saudi Arabia having gotten those texts, and here is why: Another suspect is Saudi Arabia, which incurred the wrath of The Washington Post by murdering and dismembering their columnist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul last October. Bezos referenced that awful crime in his blog post, including the line, “Pecker and his company have also been investigated for various actions they’ve taken on behalf of the Saudi Government,” explaining that AMI is seeking Saudi funding. Bezos added, “Several days ago, an AMI leader advised us that Mr. Pecker is ‘apoplectic’ about our investigation. For reasons still to be better understood, the Saudi angle seems to hit a particularly sensitive nerve.” The Amazon CEO is more than hinting that Riyadh is mixed up in AMI activities in a nefarious way, something which Pecker is desperate to obscure.
