Interesting article:

https://www-m.cnn.com/201...cnn.com%2F

Trump clearly has a game plan for socialism in 2020

Analysis by Zachary B. Wolf, CNN

Updated at 9:05 AM ET, Fri February 8, 2019

(CNN) — ”President Donald Trump had an insult and a warning in his State of the Union address when he said "we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country."

It was a warning because he suggested the US could follow the same path as Venezuela, which despite its oil riches has become an unstable country.
It was an insult since he was suggesting Democrats want to take the US toward socialism, which has long been thought to be a dirty word in US politics.

]"America was founded on liberty and independence --- not government coercion, domination and control," Trump said. "We are born free, and we will stay free. Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country."

Get used to this topic. Trump used it repeatedly in November as he campaigned for Republican candidates and its inclusion at the State of the Union address suggests he'll be bringing it back as the 2020 campaign ramps up. Here are some of the ways Trump has used the specter of socialism, including about Venezuela, as an argument against tax hikes, as part of a pledge to protect Medicare, and as a dream for his ideal opponent. Note: The factba.se database is an incredible resource for exercises like this.”

(Click on link to continue reading article)

Side note: Whomever wrote his speech for the SOTU, really put an ice cream and sugar twist on Anerica’s history. Something I found very wrong with a part (the highlighted part above) of Trump’s speech in that article, because America wasn’t founded on Liberty and independence, it was stolen (controlled) by many foreigners who used violence/abuse, and robbed ‘freedom and equality’ from the original inhabitants, as well as, from those brought over from other countries, who were forced into slavery here.

Not to mention that America was very much ‘dependent’ on slavery for their economic success. Slavery was human trafficking used as currency, property ownership, insurance and inheritance packages. It’s interesting how some get sold on the BS though. The ignorance and lies many Americans would rather accept as (false) truths.

^^ Exactly. The sugar cotton candy spin was on full display. Also, women couldn't vote until 100 years ago, how independent was that? Everyone not in the elite male club has had to fight for rights tooth and nail - and many have died doing it.

Did you see what Pence tried to pull off? I loathe that fake.

NewsOne 1/20/19

Mike Pence Has The Unchristian Nerve To Compare Trump To Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This is insane.

Vice President Mike Pence truly offended millions of Americans today by comparing the racist, p***y grabbing, anti-immigrant, anti-labor and anti-justice Donald Trump to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. — the day before the federal holiday that honors his legacy. It is one of the many low points in Pence horrible performance as Vice President.

While on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan asked Pence about the shutdown, “If this is a genuine attempt [at ending the shutdown], why weren’t any Democrats included in the consultations?”

Pence babbled that the shutdown is all the fault of the Democrats then insanely said, “Honestly, you know, the hearts and minds of the American people today are thinking a lot about it being the weekend we are remembering the life and the work of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. One of my favorite quotes from Dr. King was, ‘Now is the time to make real the the promises of democracy.’”

He continued, still not answering the question,“You think of how he changed America, he inspired us to change through the legislative process, to become a more perfect union. That’s exactly what President Trump is calling on the Congress to do, come to the table in a spirit of good faith.” Host Margaret Brennan starred in complete shock at the insanity. See below, if you can stomach it:...

He's repugnant. Using the commemorative holiday of MLK - and quoting his words! - to scold Dems over the wall, and trying to pretend the shutdown was all their fault. disbelief

Then there's this:

HuffPost 03/26/2015

WASHINGTON — Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) quietly signed legislation Thursday that could legalize discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals.

The Religious Freedom Restoration Act would allow any individual or corporation to cite its religious beliefs as a defense when sued by a private party. But many opponents of the bill, which included business leaders, argued that it could open the door to widespread discrimination. Business owners who don’t want to serve same-sex couples, for example, could now have legal protections to discriminate.

He doesn’t care because they are not White. He’s more concerned about his ‘Keep the Brown and Black out of America‘ campaign. This is why all the tables are turning on him for his hatred and division. He’s his own worst enemy and the most mentally unstable president of our time. He plays to the insecurities and fears of his white nationalists’ segment of his base like Coulter, Hannity, Ingraham and Limbaugh. These folks are disturbed and project their self-imposed fears, insecurities, ignorance and hatred on the rest of society. They will eventually fail in their mission, because evil never wins.

I know this thread is SOTU, but couldn't find one to put rallies in...thought this one might work. Came across this today:

https://www.mediamatters....lly/222849

So apparently The Oath Keepers had front row seats to Donald's rally last night. The Oath Keepers have actually called for using lethal force against left wing protestors and have advocated for training armed militias to do Trump's bidding.

The Oath Keepers are beyond disgusting. The worst America has to offer. Fuck each and every one of them.

Nutcases like trump who can’t get over the fact, that they are not supreme beings, but rather very insecure, weak-minded individuals with self-imposed fears.

I refused to watch or stream it while it was occuring. Trump always looks at his ratings and I was not about to add to those ratings. He's not worth having good ratings.

speaking of ratings. it would be just peachy if someone could organize a "top liars day" at the white house.
scenario as follows:
there would be the same number of people (7,645) appointed to volunteer to hold up 7,645 individual signs with with the slogan saying:

7,645 lies and all are still counting.....as
"donald trump is on record as the POTUS who has told the highest number of lies while in office.

source:
january 21 2019
Since taking office, Trump has made 7,645 ‘false or misleading claims’. In October he said 1,200 things that were false or misleading, according to Fact Checker database

that
would be a global bust as the ratings would go sky high!
