I tweeted earlier that he's Hitler 2.0. It's pure ethnic cleansing rhetoric.

I give him a year before he starts using terms like "master genetics" or "superior racial profile".

He was talking specifically about MS-13 gang members who had been arrested and deported.

His problem is that he speaks of certain immigrants as animals. He didn’t specify that he was referring to a particular group of gang members, who happened to be immigrants, as animals. Fact is, he doesn’t like Black or Brown immigrants and those are his targets, when he speaks of the immigration issue. I have never heard him complain about European immigrants whether illegal or legal. He needs to check his history.

I thought he was talking about his own voters?

This... and the above is a complete misquote, anyhow...there're enough reasons to dislike, or even hate Trump. To manufacture reasons based on misleading headlines is just feeding the machine...

Exactly. It’s not hard to see where trump’s prejudices are. It’s so obvious. He never complains about European immigrants, in fact, he welcomes them. He needs to remember that he is an immigrant, as well as, his parents and ancestors who are not indigenous to this country nor were they the first inhabitants of this land.

He’s playing up to his white nationalists’ supporters;that portion of his voter base who harbor that type of prejudice.

Right

People are too gullible, they react to whatever meme or tweet someone posts without checking to see if it is real or what the story is. We all should know this by now.

^^ Watch this if you need proof.

nod The men who tried to kill Deandre Harris the day Heather Heyer was killed are getting off easily. The police charged Harris for allegedly attacking a well known white supremacist who provided a blurry video and said it was Deandre. Tell me, who are the animals here?

Isn't the perp being charged? He can't be deported. What else would you want to be done to him or said? AND do you HOLD all other people in all other protests who commit crimes to the same standard?

this is one thing. But people reacting to 'news' in this day in age, after we know media on all sides and all topics 'paint' certain pictures, without thinking hmmm let me look into this before I react. It doesn't matter what report news or meme is posted. And in this day in age with all the uneducated troll Meme's out there, it is sad.

It is depressing, it seems we are choosing to dumb down and believe anything thrown out there that fits our narrative of life

and it is okay to get a little excited and post something without checking... but once it has been shown to be untrue then the person should admit they were wrong.

He back peddled later. All his cronies hit the news to make sure that narrative was quickly out there. But if you listen to his original comment, there was no indication that that is what he was talking about. People will always try and defend Trump and people seem to always but it.

No doubt he didn't mention MS-13 in his answer, but his comments were in response to statements made about MS-13. Trump being Trump, there is always the possibility that he Kellyanne Conwayed and just gave an answer/statement he wanted to make, regardless of the question that was asked.

I think it's important to always be as correct as possible when criticizing Trump. Because what his supporters and the state-run media (Fox News, talk radio, etc.) will do is focus on any inaccuracy and extrapolate that to discredit everything else. I can hear them now:

"The liberals are screaming about President Trump's comments regarding only MS-13 gang members and of course they got the criticism of his remarks wrong, because they get EVERYTHING wrong. Listen to President Trump's actual comments to see how wrong liberals are on this, and of course, on everything else."

People can rightfully criticize Trump on 1,000 things but if they get one thing wrong - like in this case - THIS is all that many people will hear.

Again, you see that constantly with Trump supporters, ESPECIALLY the so-called "Evangelical" or allegedly religious ones . I've never seen such delusional behavior and willful ignorance in my life
