We all know the right are an unhinged bunch, I hope she can deal with the amount of hate that is going to be focused on her.

I know I will probably be in the minority with this, but I just didn't find any humor in what she was saying. I'm definitely not a Trump supporter, and have no respect for Sanders and her lies, but really saw Wolf's comments as more mean-spirited than a true roast. We call out Trump for the things he says against other people, because we see the mean-spiritedness and hate in his comments. How can we then support someone on the left when they are mean-spirited in their comments towards someone on the right? It just seems very hypocritical. We should hold all people to the same standard.

And again, I know it was supposed to be "just jokes", and maybe Wolf just isn't the comedian for me, but they really weren't funny to me.

Nope. cool

Even the reporters seemed scared of what she was gonna say next. That's good comedy!

Comedy is a very subjective thing. I've had people I know cracking up at something, and I'm sitting there stone faced as if I just watched a documentary on the Holocaust. I'll be cracking up at something myself, and my own wife will question why I found it funny...

The thing I took from Michelle Wolf's set is a sense that she wanted to expose the hypocrisy of Trump's staff and supporters by turning his own vulgarity and lies against them, and making the staff look like partisan hacks who support and defend what HE says but get upset when others use the same language and tactics. Trump has basically created an environment where there are no rules or standards anymore, and Michelle slyly exploited that.

Plus, she ended by excoriating the media for helping create this "monster" Trump, which I totally agree with.

I have a feeling next year you will not have a comedian, or possibly a more right-wing comedian like Jeff Dunham and his puppets or...Dennis Miller. Ben Stein. Ann Coulter. ( i couldn't remember her name so, in the search, I typed "female right-wing polemic" and BAM, top result. lol)

I love how everyone is ignoring the fact that she went after you guys too. She trashed the faux left corporatists.

She CORRECTLY pointed out that CNN, MSNBC and the rest LOVE Trump. They supported him from the start and now they're making a fortune off of him.

She CORRECTLY lambasted the obsession with Russia (which you guys have all fallen in line with and mirrored on this forum).

She CORRECTLY lambasted Hillary Clinton for not even bothering to visit Michigan in her campaign (just one example of what a joke Hillary's "campaign" was, but why talk about that when you can blame Russia instead).

The comment about Flint's water was another dig at the corporate media whose agenda is mirrored precisely on this forum. She even made a point of not talking about Russia "collusion" because she knows it pleases them too much. She nailed them and by nailing them she nailed you guys because their agenda is your agenda. Their talking points are your talking points.

Some of her jokes are a little too close to the bone (abortion) but I've seen her before and always liked her. But I suspect CNN and the rest will be roasting her for telling the truth about what a joke they are.

True. Even Hillary supporters will admit she didn't run the greatest campaign and made a bunch of mistakes (AND there WAS Russian meddling involved too)

But Trump and his crew have absolutely no sense of humor

It's ridiculous to pretend that anything Russia did or didn't do is even remotely equivalent to what your leaders did to give us Trump. The DNC and the media rigging a primary for the weaker candidate and that candidate then running the worst presidential campaign in modern history is the real story, but you have too much at stake emotionally to ever admit that, so your follow your leaders' ridiculous diversion tactics instead.

No, they picked a cool girl but they don't care. They won't make that mistake again. There was something in that bonfire that touched everybody. She got around.

Yes we know... newsflash: Yes, even democrats can handle a joke. Actually msnbc and Cnn were enjoying her jokes. It’s not the end of the world, so no worries. Man, you rightwingers can’t handle it when Dems don’t get as nuts as rightwingers, but I have to say I enjoyed her jokes on Sanders. Sanders expression was telling. Hilarious. comfort

Sanders was priceless... especially for a person who twists themselves into a pretzel every day defending an indecent and disgusting animal like Donald J Trump.
