Agreed. Say what you will about Tom Cotton, but the guy enlisted in the Army after having a cushy lawyer job, and then turned down a cushy JAG position and went into the infantry. He served in Iraq.

I am VERY surprised a guy like that would puss out. And VERY disappointed, too.

Then why haven't they released them?

Mark Burnett- produces of that idiotic Trump show and a friend of Trump's- always claims there are "contractual reasons " they cannot release the footage. Which probably means that Trump and his lawyers made Burnett and all involved sign NDAs which gives Trump total approval of all footage released. So all these folks are scared they'll be sued. Frank Rich said numerous crew members have confirmed such footage exists.

Mark Burnett didn't claim that the footage exists. You are taking things out of context. Frank Rich is a liberal columnist! LOL! Anonymous sources!

Burnett never denied it either. He just said he was contractually unable to release any unused footage.

And I guess when you don't like the facts, just attack the messenger for being "liberal"...

The amazing, truly amazing thing is that anybody else would have been thrown out on their ass a long time ago. Our culture is not just racist to the core, but truly stupid in aggregate. Can any imagine a female or a black or a Jewish person going so far down the rabbit hole and people accepting it? No fucking way. This says something truly vile and disgusting about America. About the American right. About the GOP. About what all of us have let slide.

If he is not slammed out the door and soon, it shows how we all in aggregate as a society have silently allowed our nation to go where we have gone. If this does not motivate and consolidate us to unite and say enough is enough, then we are all truly pathetic.

Why are many of the repubs who were in that meeting, silent about trump’s comments? Had Obama said that about European countries, there would be mass hysteria from tepubs, Fox channel, white nationalists, kkk, nazi sickos.

Trump is playing to racist ideology of the latter. A sick bunch and sources claim trump is enjoying the reaction.

CEO's of major corporations have been thrown on their ass for far far less. Actors and accusations of misconduct have been ostracized from Hollywood and unemployable. A teacher, a police officer, a county employee would have lost their jobs. But we have allowed this disgusting human being to represent us.

Some of us just sit back and symbolically eat popcorn and find it funny. We in aggregate have shown our true colors and how truly disgusting we as a society are.

Those who Trump refers to as ‘very fine people’ are happy today:
“This is encouraging and refreshing, as it indicates Trump is more or less on the same page as us with regards to race and immigration.”

The same guy that called him "dangerous" and called for him to be impeached in the past and said he was obstructing justice. Not a credible source. I don't trust Durbin or Graham.

I replaced what I originally wrote with the emoticon because I realized most of you would incorrectly take it as "defending trump". Since the popcorn emoji is evidently as offensive as what I orignally said, I may as well put it back up:

I don't like the trumpclown and I don't find anything about this "funny". I personally find his alleged comments to be extremely unpresidential. I don't find the word "shithole" to be racist when it's properly used to describe a place (not people).

https://en.oxforddictiona...n/shithole

I've used the word. I probably will again.

I actually find the comments to be an embarassment for the country and damaging to diplomacy, but I guess if I don't agree with the talking points I must be "apologizing" for him.
