What a f'king asshole. American slavery was built on racism. Slavery kept the racial divide. What's wrong with him? Slavery was also the foundation that built early America's economy. Then to also say he didn't know the nazis were anti-Semitic? Jerk.

Lot of interesting points in that video. If the folks being sold as slaves by africans were white, would we still consider that racism?

This is why the black community is so slow to improve, because of this mentality right here.

I can't vouch for anything else this guy has said, I'm only talking about the content of the video. Would you disagree with him that the preponderance of single parenthood has had a drastic effect on the black community, especially in light of the fact that we don't live in a society that is always very "black friendly?"

My point is that when folks tell the truth, and said truth reflects badly on some folks, those folks don't want to hear it and call the person saying it all kinds of names, just like they did with Bill Cosby. Now, you can say what you want about Cosby & his issues, but those issues don't make what he said any less true.

falloff Slow to improve? Your statement was just as bad as Jesse Lee. Blacks are individuals, and cannot be judged by putting them all in one pool, to be as one and the same.

Which Blacks, as a 'group', do you know are 'slow to improve?' We have various cultural/ethnic/religious groups, etc., within the Black population, living various lifestyles, and in various economic and educational situations, with various, political beliefs and then some.

Newsflash: There is no law that states that all Black Americans have to agree with the opinions/views of all Black Americans. No laws broken because some of us disagree with Jesse. Jesse is generalizing Blacks. Not a good thing. We're not joined at the hip. If some here are calling Jesse out for presenting himself like a Black slave overseer, just like one of the characters in the 'Django' movie, then they have their reasons why. Let's try and remember that in every racial group, everyone is an individual.

Trump saving Blacks from what? falloff Sounds like the same bs trump used in front of his white audience, during the campaign. What is Jesse smoking? He plays to the ignorant, stereotyped beliefs of racists like the Bannon and David Duke types. I bet if he said all Blacks are criminals, those fools would believe it. Idiot.

I totally agreed with what Cosby said about blacks wasting the civil rights movement. I agree that many times blacks seem to be their own worst enemy...I want to (and I have) hollered and screamed at some of my brothas and sistas, telling them to WAKE THE FUCK UP, this is the 21st century, stop living up to every friggin sterotype out there! Get off your behind and do something! I get it...a percentage of our population is still in the dark, they need to step up to the plate and handle business...but this Peterson cat makes it sound like everything has always been equal and fair, we've been on a level playing field since day one, that blacks are just ignorant and have only themselves to blame. He totally gives Uncle Sam a pass....sorry, but this fool is a HOUSE NEGRO. PERIOD

I disagree with the notion that Black Americans wasted the Civil Rights movement. Instead, what
I think happened is that we were given access to freedom and liberties on paper but there had not
been the radical transformation necessary for white men in power to stop viewing Black Americans
as still being just a bunch of "niggers."

Look at the way the USA has treated Native Americans/First Nations peoples: so, Black Americans
are pretty much fucked.

There was white ones sold as there are white people in Africa. But they wasn't later taught in american schools or on films as a piece of property lower than trash or told that their complexion or race was considered a disorder. It's people like him that helps stupidity of lies spread with invalid points. If you're tired of hearing about racism stop pointing fingers and admit it the truth that you are racist and go about fixing that inner problem with yourself instead of looking for a get out card.

And that black community is so slow to improve comment is very fucking racist, and a mentality like that is the reason you shouldn't comment on anything else dealing with racism. I don't if you're white or black neither it's still a foolish racial comment.

And you better come correct when you try to tell black people or anyone for that fact about improving mentally. Staying where the majority of citizens in your area is black don't make you a black expert. If a person got on here and talked down about several times and said foolish remarks that doesn't represent you are with a point of view filled with foolish opinions and untruths how would you feel? Or is ok to say because a lot of racist look like the guy in your icon that you support the KKK & NAAWP?

And please come at me because this will be one enlightening debate you will lose. ANd others that are just alike. Stop trying to find fault in others that's different from you and supporting foolish views that's putting others down. Next thing I know you're be on here agreeing that slavery was a choice and state of mind by blacks or black africans. Because you do know it was BLACK AMERICANS living here before slavery took place doing fine and living amongst white americans. So us all living together without racial profiling isn't impossible. But with people like Jesse is preaching lies and saying things to make minorities feel bad about being who they are. Which is the reason people are on here calling him out.

First of all, don't you ever tell what I 'better' do. You don't have that authority.

Now, you living in a Black community for 7 years, doesn't make you the king of all things Black, because you lived in a Black community for 7 years. I'm Black, been Black all my life, and don't need to live in a Black community to prove how Black I am. I've lived in various, multicultural, multiracial and predominantly Black communities, and that doesn't make me the Queen of all Black culture knowledge or experience, especially when all Black families live by their individual cultures, values and experiences. Who said that anyone dismissed Jesse's opinion? Some just don't agree with his opinion. Where's the crime in that? You're upset baecause I dont agree with him? I don't, that's it, and have as much right as Jesse, to express that. Why should I agree with him if I don't?

And if you're going to bring up Cosby, I mean really? Ask him about the white woman, he fathered a child with, while he was married, and didn't acknowledge that daughter, until that daughter went public about it? Ask him about his children who were hooked on drugs. So much for his good parenting advice, and criticizing single parents though right? Yeah ok. Jesse and Bill touching nerves? Really? A disagreement is a disagreement.

I have my opinion on single parenthood, and I'm not going to put all single parents in one bowl of soup and claim they are destined for failure, when I've seen a number of single parents, do a great job raising their children, and they should not be all labeled as failures, by some in society who tend to generalize all single parents in a negative way. That's unfair. The reality is, there are failures and success stories in both single parent homes and two-parent homes. Just ask Bill, he was no perfect parent, and I won't even bring up all the rape accusations against him.

Lack of access to basic, educational and economic resources, often is what leads to a failed community in society, whether you're from a single parent or two-parent home. My opinion of Jesse remains, whether you accept that or not. I can think of far, better role models than Jesse. My son, and his friends, for one, are great role models and leaders in their community, working with youth and their families. Some of his friends were raised in single parent homes, but they can thank their parents for becoming the role models they are today. That's all I will say about that. You have a good day though.

If you all really think the President have power overall then you deserve to sit back and debate which one was worse. Presidents are basically consultants because the real power starts with your state governor and then your state congress men/women. President is there to take the blame if everything goes wrong and if everything goes right then the congress take credit and talk about how they made the bills come together and vote for their own damn bills. These the same fools that vote for their own raises, free housing, and free healthcare with luxury stocks and pensions. And only heaven knows how much lobby money they are making while in return keeping the poverty and middle class people broke. Let me hush before some enemy of the state ish pop off.
