Only if the "Stone" involved is Roger Stone, and the film is a documentary revoiving around Roger Stone's upcoming prison term.

TRUECRISTIAN

Trump went up against someone who they (his supporters) call the "worst candidate ever" who "nobody likes". He had Wikileaks, Russia, and rogue elements of the FBI all giving it their best to throw the election in his favor. He had Republican legislatures rushing to pass restrictive voting laws with the sole aim of depressing the minority vote. He was running against a candidate who had to fight a two-front war not only against the Right, but against the Bernie-or-Bust Left. And STILL he got almost three million less votes. Now he is actively engaged in breaking promises to not make cuts to Social Security, and (assuming the AHCA passes the Senate and becomes law) is about to take health insurance away from over 20 million people and raise healthcare premiums for seniors. So, what in all this makes his supporters think 2020 looks good for him?

If he accomplishes what he promises to accomplish, he'll get re-elected (assuming he'll run again). If not, he won't. It's really quite simple.

And FYI - I like your foreign persona better wink

This is not the 999th Trump thread. This about Putin. He was there long before Trump showed up, he'll be there long after Trump is gone.

I just finished the New Testament! It was great. I'm amazed at how convoluted some try to make it - both atheists and some right-wing Christians. They need to read the New Testament again.

*really wonders how the bible got into this, but whatever*

I'm going to assume there are some Putin admirers around here? He terrifies me, always have, but it would be nice to kind of get around his head if not in it. Since Trump has to be put in it, would you think Trump could relate to him?

TRUECRISTIAN

Conclusion: Only Infinite Punishment is fitting for every sinner. While the Love of God absorbs the agonies of flesh on Earth easily within a couple of million years in Heaven, the sinner with infinite guilt and sinning will have to be punished forever to pay for his crimes against Jesus. These are simple rules, yet so elegant, so they must be intelligently designed!

In the two installments released to critics, Putin and Stone have not yet broached much on the topic of President Trump’s ties to Russia or the widely acknowledged Russian involvement in influencing the American 2016 election.

But in the interviews that precede the election, Putin repeatedly points out that America meddles in Russia’s internal affairs, and the internal affairs of other countries, with impunity. He is, as far as we know, entirely right about that. So now what?

“The Putin Interviews” is a destabilizing documentary that challenges Americans’ narratives about ourselves and asks the viewer to engage in a conversation with a slippery subject. It’s riveting in how dangerous and intimate it feels, leveraging its multiple camera-angles and hand-held shots to make the viewer feel as if they, too, are in the room with Vladimir Putin.

Foreign Affairs will likely have much to dissect in the dialogue, which often sounds like Stone and Putin are playing an invisible game of chess. It’s sobering to realize that if Putin is playing invisible chess with Stone, he is playing garishly lit 3-D chess with America — playing, and winning.

It humanized him. He seemed aware that we as people can destroy this planet in more ways than one. He stands to lose a lot so rash bravado foolishness isn't his thing. I would like to see how the rest of the world responds to these interviews, outside of the criticism of Stone not being aggressive enough. Putin played it well, like a leader who gives a damn about his country and it's people.

For the same reason of humanising people, I try to watch an interview with anyone who the press/politicians are demonising. Assad is well spoken too...unlike May and Trump.
