Women-only screening for new Wonder Woman movie

‘Wonder Woman’ screening exclusively for women at Alamo Drafthouse bothers some men

Austin men peeved that they weren’t invited to a women-only screening of “Wonder Woman” only faced pushback from the Alamo Drafthouse after they complained.

The Texas movie theater announced a special screening of the DC Comics movie Wednesday.

“Apologies, gentlemen, but we’re embracing our girl power and saying ‘No Guys Allowed’ for one special night at the Alamo Ritz. And when we say ‘People Who Identify As Women Only,’ we mean it. Everyone working at this screening — venue staff, projectionist, and culinary team — will be female,” the invitation said.

“So lasso your geeky girlfriends together and grab your tickets to this celebration of one of the most enduring and inspiring characters ever created.”

Almost immediately, alienated men jumped out to attack the theater for excluding them.

What do people think about this idea? Should men have been invited?

Seems like it's just a gimmicky event. shrug Men are upset by this? Really?

This is like asking if it's fair that bars charge women only half to get in, or sometimes nothing at all.

Personally I don't care if there's "women only" events, but they could always have a "men only" night also to make it more acceptable. Not sure what movie they'd play, maybe Fast & Furious or Terminator?

Socially women are the minority. Let them have fun, we men always have the upperhand. Women should be allowed to have their fun without us brutes always in their face. Men only night? Hit the gay bar hell.

Download all the shit hop that you can for your kids, neices, nephews, and their friends also. That will prevent them from going out and buying it and will prevent some shit hop sales. Every little bit helps - Andy

What are you talking about, minority? Females comprise 50.4% of the US population.

I agree though, nothing wrong with women-only events. Men need a break sometimes too, nothing to do with gayness.

I said socially not total population. We men know damn well we are treated better and have more freedoms than women. If a man doesnt see or agree with that then they are usually part of the problem. .

Yeah the next time one of my male friends or relatives gets pulled over for speeding but doesn't get a ticket, or gets into a bar for free, or gets to skip the line at a bar, or gets free drinks, or gets free meals, or gets doors held open for them (and I don't mean by guys on the job), etc etc etc .... I'll let ya know! lol

Well they were not able to vote in America until 1920 so that goes to show you how much women were thought of as a whole for several hundred years, and still not able to in several different countries. However this is about Wonder Woman. Let the women have their Wonder Woman sheesh....it would be just like a man to argue that down. Im sure if you were a hot stud at the men's bar you would get those things too lol.

That was a century ago ... They've come a long way, baby! lol

I'm not arguing down, look back at my posts. All I'm saying is they should probably have a similar event for guys.
