Trump impeachment

So I try to hear as little and try to avoid as much trump nonsense as I can. Yes headlines from the WSJ and Washington Post do reach my feed, but other than that, I'd like as little of his shenanigans to reach my feed. Just major policy stuff.

But every day someone comes up to me and asks"did you hear the latest screwy thing he's done!?"

My main concern is people will become desensitized and it will just be normal.

We see CNN and other supposed "real" news outlets, the ones responsible for getting Trump elected now finger pointing because of the outcome. Let's face it, news has been crappy and fake since forever. We all saw how bad CNN was during the primaries and how the almost single handdedly gave Trump the election with so much coverage before he was even a viable candidate and how they suppressed and marginalized Bernie Sanders until they HAD to cover him in the debates.

So all this fake news bullshit is just sour grapes by crappy news organizations not wanting to take responsibility. If Hillary had won they would be saying the state of news was all cherries and whipped cream.

So instead of bitching on Facebook, I say we take a page from the ladies who marched against him, and all the majority of Americans who oppose and voted against him by over 3 million people and go to Washington and shut it down.
Everyone just peacefully gather there and make yourself physically there. Seen and heard. Let's shut it down and express our right to free speech and let the world as well as the senate and house that we do not support him.

All this Facebook isht will get passé real quick. People got to get their asses organized and make their bodies and voices heard instead of avatars.

If that doesn't happen, then we truly deserve Trump and we should quit our bitching.

Yesterday on "Morning Joe" Mika wanted to say a certain word but Joe wouldn't let her say it. They were talking about Stephen Phillips and his statement saying the president would not be questioned. I thought the word she was referring to was "Nazi".

But now I think it was "impeachment".

And I think that word is going to be said a whole lot - on "Morning Joe" and elsewhere.

I like Bernice King's response:

Amended Post (especially related to #1 below):

Some Wise Advice Circulating:

1. Use his name sparingly so as not to detract from the issues. I believe that everyone, regardless of their beliefs, deserves the dignity of being called by their name. However, this is a strategic tactic. While we are so focused on him we are prone to neglect the questionable policies that threaten freedom, justice and fairness advanced by the administration.

2. Remember this is a regime and he's not acting alone;

3. Do not argue with those who support him and his policies--it doesn't work;

4. Focus on his policies, not his appearance and mental state;

5. Keep your message positive; those who oppose peace and justice want the country to be angry and fearful because this is the soil from which their darkest policies will grow;

6. No more helpless/hopeless talk;

7. Support artists and the arts;

8. Be careful not to spread fake news. Check it;

9. Take care of yourselves; and

10. Resist!

Keep demonstrations peaceful. In the words of John Lennon, "When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the system’s game. The establishment will irritate you - pull your beard, flick your face - to make you fight! Because once they’ve got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don’t know how to handle is non-violence and humor."

When you post or talk about him, don't assign his actions to him, assign them to "The Republican Administration," or "The Republicans." This will have several effects: the Republican legislators will either have to take responsibility for their association with him or stand up for what some of them don't like; he will not get the focus of attention he craves; Republican representatives will become very concerned about their re-elections.

**************************************************************************

By utilizing "The Republican Administration" instead of making everything "Trump" we hold the entire republican party responsible. They will either have to start addressing the issues or they face the consequences in 2018.

I'm beginning to wonder... Maybe Trump (like everybody else) never really thought he was going to make it and never really wanted to be president at all and now he's looking for a way out... If he is impeached (is that a word?) then he can say to his voters, hey, it's not my fault, they threw me out! And then he can go on and ruin some other project. This guy is a walking disaster area!

Could be.

I also think it's very possible that Trump never thought he'd be p***ing off more than half the country, meaning that a whole lot of his and Ivanka's customers would no longer buy their products. The thing that appears to have made Trump the most upset so far is Nordstrom's pulling of Ivanka's line due to low sales.

My guess is that Trump thought being president would mean everyone would love him and shower his businesses with money. Now that he's finding out the opposite is true, you could be right in that he'd like a way out of this job. I doubt he sees impeachment as the best way out, but it could be.

I said from the beginning that I believed Trump wouldn't last a year. I believed, still do somewhat, that the Republican party finally got behind Trump believing they could get him out of office quickly, and that they supported Pence as a Vice-President because they felt he fit more with their ideas of what/who a Republican president should be. However, I'm beginning to think the Republican party is going to stand behind Trump, because while he keeps all the press attention on what he is doing, they are able to get other things done that seem to fly under the press radar. The fact that they are not supporting invesitgation into Trump's knowledge of Flynn/Russian connection, stating that it could fall under the investigation of Russia involvement in the election process (which Trump finally admitted that Russia was behind hacking the DNC email servers), shows me that they are not going to engage in much oversight of this president. I believe those two situations are two separate situations and should be investigated as such.

Trump has fire in his belly. He has fight in him. He wouldn't just leave. He wouldn't walk out. Whatever if anything happens I would bet it would be a lengthy drawn out affair. And even if he was impeached, he would leave kicking and screaming and tightly holding on to the last piece of furniture fingernails dug into the carpet.

His orange ferret on top of his head would be outside way before the man himself.

I'm agreeing with some of you. I think trump is realizing the job of the presidency is not a reality show. It's a real job. I bet he wouldn't mind being impeached at this point, to get out of a job, he wasn't qualified to handle, and if he is impeached, he will blame the media, democrats and everyone else, except himself.

With all the chaos and anger surrounding his presidency in this country, and around the world, and threats of boycotts against his and his family's businesses, and his constant attacks against the media, and questionable statements from members of his staff, so far, his job as President, is a disaster.

Well listen, being angry, vindictive and petulant is not a common trait of people known to just let things go.

I think the policy and cabinet selection would probably be about the same but there would be a lot less personal fury just because Pence is a treaditional politician who will be courteous to your face and fuck you in the back room. Trump likes to brag about how bad you're going to be fucked even if he doesn't follow through.

.

So yeah to an extent I think they want him in there to be a distraction. Get everyone all worked about the insults and the threats and go about business unnoticed.

.

Trump's cult of personality is strong, and it serves his political ends, for now. There is still plenty of gas in the "let's piss off the liberals" tank. The more outraged we are, the more they like it. And the concern is that we will become as unhinged as he is, but without the mechanism to profit off the chaos.

I think that Trump put the Republican House and Senate in a very precarious situation during the campaign, and I think that impeaching Trump and having President Pence was always their Plan B, if they couldn't get Trump to shape up.

I think that everyone has known about the connection between Donald Trump's campaign and Russia since December of 2015.

I also believe that Trump doesn't really want to do the job of president, he just wants to be the face of the president.

Kind of like Ronald Reagan was.

Remember when:

One of Trumps sons approached John Kasich and asked him to be Trumps running mate, telling him that he could be in charge of domestic and foreign policy.

John Kasich asked, what would Trump be in charge of.

The answer was "Making America Great Again"

Yes, some weeks ago i read somewhere a so called friend of his, said that. He didn't want to be President according to this friend, he just wanted to help his businesses with the exposure he will get.

Trump is a narcissist and he won't go without a fight.

And he won't the noble thing which would be leave America's executive branch intact.

Just look at what he does to the companies that he hired to do jobs for him.

It wasn't bad enough that he didn't pay them.

He sued them into bankruptcy.

Do you think that that man will not try to do destroy anyone who tries to remove him from office?

What concerns me is that he already knows a lot of classified information and God knows what he'll do with that information in revenge.

I will bet a "metaphorical" "wall" with sensors and drones will be built because of um... common sense. But Trump will still proclaim it to be the not just a generic "Great Wall" like China has, but "The Best Wall Ever!"
