The worst thing that happened to the Lakers was LeBron getting hurt at the wrong time.

They were playing well before his injury and kicked the Warriors ass on their home court.

Unfortunately during his injury the team had to try to pick up the slack amid trade rumors

daily and it was just bad vibes. It really killed the chemistry they had developed. Who knows

where this team is headed now.

Limping to the playoffs at best.

They've got a shot to take the East this year no doubt.

It will depend on whether Kyrie will be on his best behavior for the rest of the season. If he isn't, BOS' chances are hurt. But if BOS is clicking then PHI has to prove it can take them 4 of 7.

I still like Milwaukee. Adding Mirotic gives them more three-point shooting, which will open things up for the Greek Freak.

Jeremy Lin is finalizing a buyout with Atlanta and will join Toronto.

Very true. I just think PHI's short rotation has more quality players than MIL's, and that could make the difference.

To be honest, I would've rather had Vince Carter back for the rest of the season. Nothing against Lin, but I'm not overly excited about this. I guess time will tell.

THUMB INJURY -- EXPECTED TO RETURN AFTER THE ALL-STAR BREAK
PPG17.6
RPG12.6
BPG1.8

Capela said Sunday that he hopes to get back in the lineup immediately after the All-Star break, which would give the Rockets 25 games to try to find the rhythm they had last year before the playoffs begin. They have gone 8-5 without Capela, and rank 22nd in defensive rating since he went down. They have been making do with Kenneth Faried, P.J. Tucker and Nene playing center, but if they're going anywhere in the postseason, they need Capela's vertical spacing and rim protection.

It was Prince Night in Minneapolis last night, as the TWolves took on our beloved Houston Rockets.

The T'Wolves honored Prince's memory by beating the Rockets. Yay. I guess. mad prince

Sheila E played at halftime. Honestly, I missed almost all of the game. I was watching Ole Miss vs. Auburn. Ole Miss won. Yay! My son and I didn't even realize the Rockets were playing, much less on Prince night in Minneapolis, until someone tweeted at my son about Sheila's halftime show.

I did catch some of the game and some of the songs played at commercial breaks. I heard "Guitar" which was really awesome.

COLLEGIATE INTERLUDE!

We might not have an NCAA March Madness thread, or (far more likely now that I'm 60) I may forget to post this. Stay tuned for an incredible update at the end!

THE ANNUAL MARSHALL HENDERSON/GREATEST GIF IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL RECAP

In case you don't know, this is former Ole Miss shooting guard/crack addict Marshall Henderson, hitting a game-winning shot at Auburn in 2013 and letting the Auburn student section bask in his gloriousness.

It is the greatest GIF in college basketball history. Don't believe me? Watch it and allow me to lay out my case!

BEHOLD ALL THE GREATNESS YOU JUST SAW:

1. Marshall Henderson himself. Just look at that! He's SUPPOSED to be flaunting the Ole Miss logo on his jersey, but it's more of a Look-At-My-Abs kind of move. Maybe he's "flapping" his jersey as his own kind of "War Eagle" bird move?

2. The old man in the orange sweater who stands up. I think he's saying "Come at me, bro!" but I'm not sure. I don't know who he is but judging by his seat location, he's one of Auburn's top athletic supporters

3. The security guard next to Orange Sweater Man. He's laughing his ass off! I love that guy, especially since he makes NO move whatsoever to stop Henderson, or protect him

4. Speaking of laughing guys, how about the bearded announcer in the blue vest? Awesome! I think he might be an Ole Miss announcer, since his vest is the same color as Henderson's jersey but then again, Auburn also uses blue. At any rate, his beard is just great

5. His announcing buddy in the white sweater is not quite as thrilled, with an "I've seen this before" kind of look on his face. Which probably means those guys ARE Ole Miss announcers, because this kind of stuff was common with Henderson

6. OK, let's get to the Auburn students! First off, moving left-to-right, we have Double-Bird Guy. He enters a second into the GIF, and literally does move left-to-right. He cuts in front of Get The F*** Outta Here With That Bulls*** Guy, who really needed to step his game up

7. Behind Double Bird Guy is ANOTHER Double Bird Guy. He's got an orange-and-white striped shirt, and a bad haircut. His double bird game is not as strong as that of the guy in front of him

8. I think my FAVORITE guy is "Come At Me Bro!" Guy. He's the guy in the white hat, waving at Henderson to come and get some. And then he hides behind Single Bird Guy. Not representing Auburn's manliness very well, bro!

9. Single Bird Guy (unwittingly) becomes a human shield for Come At Me Bro Guy. At least he didn't try to hide behind Old Man in Orange Sweater

10. The we have Short Dude Who Gets Hit By A Poster. He shrugs it off like a playa, then bends down to pick it up. Most polite guy on The Plains!

11. Last but not least on the front row, we have Ding Dang Gosh Darn It Guy. I call him Ding Dang Gosh Darn It Guy because even though he gets off a single bird, the way he removes his hat to accentuate his yelling is just so cornpone. His friends probably call him Farmer Ted

12. Remember the sign that hit Short Dude Who Gets Hit By A Poster? We don't know who threw it, but the reaction of the two girls behind our frat bros is great! First, we have the girl in the blue print top, who is absolutely flabbergasted and disgusted that an Auburn War Eagle Tiger fan would throw a poster. Her friend to the right in the orange shirt is just scared. If any of the frat bros had tried to protect her, I bet she would have married him right there on the spot

13. UPDATE! Remember this guy?

He was at the game last night! In the same seat! With almost the exact same clothes! The only difference was he had on an orange sweater with no zipper as opposed to the zippered model above.

It turned out one of my friend's sons had tracked down a number of the Auburn people made famous by this gif. Most were cool and loved the notoriety. She found Old Man in Orange Sweater! He said his anger was really because he had some grandkids at the game and didn't think Henderson exposing his six-pack like that was dignified.

I'm calling bupkiss on that, LOL.

OK, back to your regulary-scheduled NBA programming!
