The Fourth Org Fitness Thread of 2018 - I Can Still Get It Up!

Well, the third thread expired a few weeks ago and its passing went unnoticed. Obviously because we were all enjoying the summer with our improved fitness, right? Right! I hope!

Summer has been just fine for me. Workouts have been pretty consistent but the one bummer is that I haven't moved 306 pounds more than a couple inches off the floor.

Until today.

It just felt right. I felt good. Instead of warming up and then going straight to 306, I went 266; 286; and then 306.

I can still get it up!

How's YOUR summer and YOUR fitness going? Let us know!

Ah, but it didn't go unnoticed. Some of us here thought about starting a 'Hey Rodeoschro' thread to remind you that you hadn't fufilled your obligations by starting a new one, but, well you know, that one is reserved for EmmaMcG so I decided against it.

I hit my target of losing 20 kilos a few weeks ago. I feel fitter and healthier, not to mention the stress that I have also shed by changing my career. The thing that has got away from me is my running. It's just been so fucking hot that the idea of runnng has been worse than the idea of having to play catch-up in order to be marathon ready when the heat dies down. I'm still walking loads, I go early with the dog so I get my miles in but I am acutely aware I need to start running again....and soon.

Well done on your 306. Means nothng to me but it does sound impressive!

It never ceases to amaze me how cruel humans can be against fellow humans and animals, especially when in the pursuit of money and power.

falloff Great post!

"Mission: Impossible - I Hope No More Movies Fall Out In Ths Franchise" screwed up my chance for a "Hey EmmaMcG" post. Oh well...

Congrats on your weight loss! That is AWESOME! I'm very happy for you!

"306" refers to how many pounds I benchpressed this morning. It's kind of my benchmark, so to speak. I have benched as much as 336 before, but as long as I can do more than 300 pounds, I feel good.

I have six months to go before I hit 60 years old, and my goal is to be able to still get it up when I'm 60. 306 pounds on the benchpress, that is!

LOL, that was the purpose! I figured if I made myself the butt of the joke, I'd get everyone on the org in here, making pithy comments about my...errrr, abilities. Although...

..."RodeoSchro Can Still Jerk It!" might do the same thing!
